Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she relocated to Dix Hills on Long Island just before she finished her senior year. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her older brother, and Evan. In the years between nine and 16 the first time she was exposed to the business world was when she first began modeling. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she was studying the acting of Sanford Meisner techniques for approximately three years. Other actors to receive such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, as well as others. The first time she was cast as an actress was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, in which she had to relocate away from Los Angeles. Her debut role was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the movie, and it established her as an athlete actress. In addition to Matt LeBlanc's agency for talent and agent, she was also responsible for a number of regular roles in the show Friends.
