Alison Doody
Alison Doody is a Dublin native who was born into an affluent family in Dublin, Ireland in 1966. Doody is the youngest of three. While in a convent, she discovered an obsession with the arts. She later studied at an institution called the National College of Fine Arts in Dublin and left due to the fact that she was not motivated and thought she would spend a year away to think about it. In a cafe with her fellow students in a restaurant, a photographer approached and asked if she wanted to act as a model. Since she thought she could make use of the pockets money, she said yes. She soon found that modeling could be both profitable and enjoyable. She could explore the globe with her commercial business after securing modeling contracts. After seeing her work as an actor, she was encouraged to take up modeling. The director sent her to London when she was 19 in which she was able to win an audition to appear in the upcoming James Bond film, A View to a Kill (1985). She was a natural actor and her love for the role has led her to study it as a profession. After the first film she acted in and a short film, she filmed a couple of TV productions both in London and Dublin But her most memorable break came when she got cast as Aryan sexual seductress, in Dr. Elsa Schneider in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
